The full garage comes down, not just the roof
This is not just roof removal. We demolish the entire structure. Roof sheets, wall panels, timber framing, and the concrete base if you want it gone. Most garages in Surrey built between the 1950s and 1980s used asbestos cement in the roof and sometimes the walls. The concrete base underneath is typically 100mm thick and reinforced with steel mesh.
We strip the asbestos components first under controlled conditions. The sheets are removed intact, bagged, and labelled. Once the asbestos is out, we demolish the remaining structure. Timber framing is broken down, the concrete base is broken up with a hydraulic breaker, and the rubble is loaded into a skip for disposal.
The site is left level, clean, and ready for whatever you want to do with the space. Some customers lay a new driveway. Others want a garden. A few build a replacement garage from modern materials. We can advise on the options.

What the job typically involves
Day one: asbestos removal. We set up barriers, strip the asbestos roof and any wall panels, double-wrap everything, and load it for transport to a licensed disposal site.
Day two: demolition. The remaining structure comes down. Concrete base is broken up and removed. The site is levelled and swept clean.
Most single garages take two days. Larger garages, double garages, or structures with additional outbuildings may take three. We quote a fixed price that covers everything from the initial asbestos strip through to final site clearance.
